Position: Ph.D. Student
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the Università del Piemonte Orientale in Novara, Italy, in 2020, with a thesis titled “Analysis of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress (ER-Stress) in Biological Systems: The Most Relevant Methods,” under the supervision of Prof. Marco Corazzari. In 2022, I completed my Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Turin, Italy, where I wrote a thesis entitled “Inhibition of Glucose Metabolism Triggers Targeted-Therapy Resistance in Cultured BRAFV600E Melanoma Cells,” supervised by Prof. Vincenzo Calautti. Currently, I am enrolled in the XXXIX cycle of the interdepartmental PhD program Complex Systems for Quantitative Biomedicine at the University of Turin. As part of my doctoral research, I am a visiting PhD student at Boston University, United States, in Prof. Valentina Perissi’s laboratory. I am also a member of the Quantitative Biology research group in Turin. My research focuses on the crosstalk between energy-stressed adipocytes and breast cancer cells. More broadly, my academic interests include adaptive responses to cellular and environmental stress, transcriptomics, and systems biology. Outside academia, I am passionate about cooking and enjoy long walks in nature.
